What is TPU
Thermoplastic polyurethanes, TPU, are a plastic polymer material that becomes pliable or moldable at a certain elevated temperature and solidifies upon cooling. Main features of TPU product, high elastic state, high tensile strength, and high ductility with excellent wearability, toughness, oil-proof, solvent resistance. TPU is a good material for replacing the traditional Rubber which is easier to get splitting and aging. TPU is also widely used in Sports and Shoes Industries, Electronic Industries, Car Interior materials, Electric wires and Cable, Medical equipment, and so on.
Moldable Material
TPU is a moldable material, also it’s easy to be processed, the results always more sophisticated.
Why Choose TPU
High Wearability, Explosion-proof
-35℃ Low-Temperature Resistance
120℃ High-Temperature Resistance
Good Bearing Capacity
Oil-Proof, Water-Proof
Corrosion Resistance, Non-discolouring
Easy Processing
Strong with good Elastic state, Tensile strength
TPU & Car Protection Film
Compare with the traditional material TDI, TPU has superior strength, more flexible with higher wearability. Because of the firmly Structure, TPU Ceramic Film provides a cooler driving experience and a safer driving environment.
Driving Safety
Falling-Object Protective, protect people in the car and avoiding injured by broken glass.
TPU vs PVC
TPU: Moldable, Pliable, durable, good force resistance, higher price.
PVC: Cheaper, Harder, Wearability same as TPU, impact force resistance and non-discoloring ability lower than TPU.
Superior TPU Material
Moldable: TPU is a block copolymer consisting of alternating sequences of hard and soft segments or domains formed by the reaction of (1) diisocyanates with short-chain diols (so-called chain extenders) and (2) diisocyanates with long-chain diols. By varying the ratio, structure, and/or molecular weight of the reaction compounds, an enormous variety of different TPU can be produced. This allows urethane chemists to fine-tune the polymer’s structure to the desired final properties of the material.
ECO-friendly: Biodegradability, decomposition in 5-10 years.
